Ingrid Ricks, author of the forthcoming memoir, HIPPIE BOY: A DAUGHTER’S MEMOIR, recently landed a cover spot on Salon.com for her essay about her journey with RP, a devastating degenerative eye disease.
Salon.com, an online arts and culture magazine with more than six million visitors each month, featured the essay in their weekend Life section. Seven years ago, Ingrid walked into an eye doctor’s office for the first time in her life and learned she was going blind. The essay, titled What I learned By Going Blind, delves into Ingrid’s personal struggle with RP and the life lessons she has learned along the way.
