Ingrid Ricks, a Seattle-based author, journalist and online marketing consultant, will help authors understand how to leverage social media, the Internet and PR to build an audience and sell more books at the February Member Meeting held by the Pacific Northwest Writers Association.
The session, titled Six Marketing Musts For Today’s Authors, kicks off at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feburary 17th in the Chinook Middle School cafeteria. It is free and open to all PWNA members.
Whether authors are searching for an agent, shopping for a publisher, or already have a book out, the key to success in today’s new media marketplace (beyond having a fantastic book) boils down to one thing: Their ability to sell books.
In this informative session, Ingrid will cover six key online marketing and PR strategies that are critical for authors wishing to succeed in today’s new world of publishing, and help attendees understand how to leverage the global reach and viral power of the Internet, Social Media and PR to build an author platform and launch a broad-reaching marketing program on an author-size budget.
